As a misthios in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, there are plenty of opportunities to make quite a bit of drachmae. You probably won't feel a strong need to grind for currency early on at all, but the main quest Island of Misfortune may have your pockets feeling pretty light, or, maybe, you just bought too many Phobos Skins. Here's how to earn money in Assassin's creed Odyssey.

1. Sell Weapons and Amor

Gear is a pretty common commodity for a murderous misthios. Killing NPCs, Mercenaries, and other enemies will get you gear. Opening chests will get you gear. Looting weapon racks gets you weapons. Finish a quest - gear.

Dismantling Weapons and Armor is a good bet to get materials, but don't write off selling it. The rare and epic stuff goes for quite a lot, and if you don't need the materials, why not?

Try dismantling all common and most rare gear, and selling the rest to the local blacksmith for an immediate wealth boost. If you're not using it, of course.

2. Don't Forget to Sell Your Trade Goods

On your odyssey, you'll pick up plenty of random knick-knacks, jewelry, wild animal teeth, and other decidedly useless crap you really don't need. Sell this stuff in an instant by heading to your nearest blacksmith and choosing to sell "Trade Goods."

3. Loot Nation Chests

These chests can usually be found in highly-gaurded forts or leader houses, and they contain thousands of drachmae. You're basically looting part of that nation's coffers, and though it may leave their soldiers hungry, you certainly won't be!

Also, pillaging forts in general is a great way to accrue money. Not only can you steal from these chests, but you can also steal weapons from racks around the area and the elite enemies you kill.

4. Ask For Compensation

Often, in main and side quests, you'll have the option to ask for payment, or to complete a task for nothing but goodwill. Don't feel bad for asking for compensation. You're a misthios, how else are you going to make a living?

5. Complete Ainigmata Ostraka (Documents)

Sometime's you'll come across Ainigmata Ostraka, which are documents that provide cryptic riddles to be solved. Solve them, and often you'll not only be rewarded with new Engravings, but with a treasure hoard as well.

6. Do Side Quests

This is kind of a no-brainer, but your job as a misthios is to do random stuff. Go do your job you lazy bum and you just might get paid.
